For over 30 years, Carla Lane Animals in Need has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed animals across the UK, giving each one the care and second chance they deserve.
We rescue animals who need us most, including unclaimed strays and pets whose owners can no longer care for them. Every arrival receives an individual assessment and the support they need.
Our no-destruction policy means there is no time limit. Animals stay with us for as long as it takes to find the right home, with lifelong care for those who cannot be rehomed.
You will find us at 3 Spurriers Lane, Melling, Liverpool, L31 1BA. Animal visits are by appointment after completing an adoption questionnaire. Donations of suitable goods can be dropped off from 10am–12 noon and 1pm–4pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We are closed on Tuesdays.
Every animal receives a health check and veterinary treatment when needed. We provide time to settle, patient rehabilitation and help with behaviour and socialisation. There is no set timetable: each animal progresses at their own pace.
