We are ALWAYS in need of good quality pet food. With so many animals here, we get through literally hundreds of tins and pouches each week, and really appreciate any donations to help keep everybody fed. If you would like to help, we’re looking for the following:

Tinned cat & dog food (preferred brands include Chappie for the dogs and Whiskas for the cats, as well as Sheba and Gourmet pouches for the picky eaters). Meat in jelly is usually better than gravy, as some animals can get upset stomachs after too much gravy-based food. For the higher end brands, Hi-Life is great for kittens, and Forthglade for puppies, who need extra help to grow.

Dried cat & dog food (preferred brands include Purina One and Harringtons for the cats). Also dog treats, very useful during their training sessions!

Rabbit food (including pellets, hay, and also fresh leafy greens like kale, spinach, and cabbage).

Tins of pilchards, sardines, and tuna (in spring water if possible).

Frozen chicken, hotdog sausages, meat paste, sliced ham, and cheese.

Some of our animals are on special diets, either because they have sensitive stomachs/allergies, came to us very underweight, or have other health issues. Pregnant/nursing mothers also need large amounts of extra food, to produce milk for their litters. Gastrointestinal support, renal food for cats, and recovery/critical care food are often needed too, as well as milk formula for young kittens and puppies. Our Amazon wishlist is a good place to check, to see what items our animals might need at the moment.

Donations can be dropped off at the rescue seven days a week. We don’t always have enough staff to cover our reception, but if you don’t see anyone around it just means we’re all busy looking after the animals. In that case it’s fine to leave things outside the reception doors, it will soon be found and our hungry animals will be grateful for it!
