Choosing your dog
You can look at all of our dogs available for re-homing on our Dogs Needing Homes page
Almost all of the dogs also have their own album our Facebook page so that you can get a fuller picture of what they are like.
You can come to the Sanctuary and ask to meet any of these dogs and we will bring them out to you. We also have a book at the Sanctuary in Reception with each of the dogs in and their description. Both in the book, and on Facebook we try to describe the dogs as fully as possible.
It is not possible to walk around the kennel block to see the dogs as this is very stressful for the dogs, in particular our long stay dogs.
The staff are happy to go through the book with you and advise you on which dogs may be most suitable for your family.
It may be that you have had a particular breed before and especially want a similar dog. We do have a waiting list of dogs still in their homes, waiting to come in to us. So if you let us know what you are interested in, and it is not at the Sanctuary, we may know that one is waiting.
The staff know all of the dogs at the kennels very well. Each dog has his/her own ‘buddy’ and this helps the dogs feel secure in the kennel environment and their buddy knows what they like and dislike and so can help advise you on which dog may be best for you.
We look forward to helping you find your new best friend!
