16.4.18 This is William, sweet William who has just arrived today. He was originally adopted from us and is now 13 years old. His is a long story. He went missing from his home for 12 months and it turned out a couple in the same street had taken him in and kept him inside for 12 months. During this time his owners did not know where he was.They then decided they didn't want to keep him. He happily lived with 2 dogs before but doesn't get on with the new 10 month old dog in the house and it isn't fair on either of them trying to keep them apart so they don't hurt each other. So here is our William, he was feeling very sorry for himself today, but hopefully a kind person will come along soon and take him home.

1.8.17 This is Socs and Amber. They are 10 and 14. They arrived yesterday because sadly their owner has died. We would be pleased to find them a home together, but the relatives say that they would also be fine alone. It is stressful for cats being in the cattery when their owners have died, so we will consider separate homes if it gets them back in a loving environment more quickly. They are playful and enjoy a cuddle. They do not want to be rehomed with children or dogs.

The owner of the yard tried to catch them to get them safe but it was a difficult task and Margaret went and took them food over Christmas. Sadly by the time we managed to catch them, the other 3 had perished. So these 2 are survivors and deserve a lovely home to flourish in. They are about 5/6 months old now. Houdini had gone back to Margaret's to be fostered as he went on hunger strike at the Sanctuary! Ashton is still shy but can be stroked and is making good progress. He will blossom in a loving home.

I am not unfriendly, I don't mind if you rub my head, I am just totally bemused by whatever has happened to me. So at the moment I am looking for a quiet home. His name is Houdini! and he needs a home with his brother Ashton. Ashton is the black and white one, and rather shy. These 2 brothers were part of a litter of 5 living rough in a hardwood yard in Huyton. Sadly by the time we managed to catch them, the other 3 had perished. So these 2 are survivors and deserve a lovely home to flourish in. They are about 4/5months old now.

I will get some more when they are feeling more settled. Some cats find it so hard when they arrive in the cattery and we do try to rehome them all as quickly as we can to loving homes. Misty seems a bit more relaxed then Marley. Their owners moved and couldn't take them with them. Marley is less than impressed with his new accommodation. Even the Dreamies failed today.

He just kept his head down and I could have wept for him today. I picked him up for a cuddle and he just moulded himself to my body, not an ounce of resistance in him, like he was too tired to be bothered with anything. I could feel all of his spine. Poor lad. I gave him a proper cuddle today and managed to get a photo of his face. I hope someone can offer him a nice quiet home. He deserves some love.

1.8.17 This is Amber. She is 14 years old. She arrived yesterday with Socs because sadly her owner has died. We would be pleased to find them a home together, but the relatives say that they would also be fine alone. It is stressful for cats being in the cattery when their owners have died, so we will consider separate homes if it gets them back in a loving environment more quickly. They are playful and enjoy a cuddle. They do not want to be rehomed with children or dogs.

8.1.18 THIS IS BROWNIE. These kittens are now 10/12 weeks old. These photos were taken on Christams Eve when they had just arrived. The 2 calicos are girls (one is adopted) and the tabby and white and the black and white are boys. Their mum is feral, but they are coming along quite nicely. They hiss when you go to stroke them, but then do nothing other than look uncomfortable when you fuss them! I have picked them all up and given them a cuddle and they will come on just fine in a loving home. They are all pretty kittens too. Their mum is a pretty little tabby. She has been neutered and will be returned when it is a bit warmer!

13.2.18 Can't believe these 2 gorgeous boys are still waiting for a home. They are crying out for some love. They have wasted weeks of their kittenhood in the cattery. Sprite on the top is pretty chilled and secretly enjoys his cuddles with me. Brownie is more shy but once in your arms does relax. Might be waiting a bit longer for some purring! I do hope someone adopts them soon. Please share and help them get a home.

Today I am proud to say my boy Sprite did not even bother to hiss at me. Yes, I know you he said, you can stroke me, I'm absolutely fine with that! He is the most laid back of the 4 and will someone a lovely pet. It is sad to see him being overlooked as other kittens have arrived and left whilst he is still waiting.
